Remember to Thank God. - It is important to honor and thank your Lord before bringing petition and request. Give him the glory that He deserves. Psalm 100:4,5 – “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations.
Pray concerning your relationship with Jesus Christ. - It is difficult to know what to pray for if we are not right with the Lord. Ask Him to remove any anger, pride, lust, or other sin which hinders our relationship with God. 1 Peter 1:14,15 – “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior.”
Pray for Family and Friends. - Take some time to remember family and friends that have touched your life, and thank God for them. If there are needs (health and others), you may pray that God would heal them. James 5:15 – “and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.”
Pray for your Church. - Your church should be the beacon of light in a dark world. Pray that God would make it strong, protect it, and bless its ministries. God wants you to be actively serving wherever the opportunities arise. Ephesians 3:10 – “so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.”
Pray for your local community, city, and state. - The Christian is an integral part of the local community, and we must actively present the Gospel to change lives. Pray for sensitivity and opportunities to share the love of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 29:7 – “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.”
Pray for your nation and its leaders. - Remember God is in charge. Pray for His leadership among our nation, its citizens, and its leaders. Ask for the Fear of the Lord and the seeking of His righteousness. Proverbs 14:34 – “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Romans 13:1ff – “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.”
Pray for missionaries across the world. – Many have followed God’s call to reach the lost in dark places. Pray that God would give the strength and peace to be obedient. Romans 10:15 – “How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News of Good Things!’”
Pray for the service men and women. - Lift up in prayer all of those men and women that service tirelessly for freedom. They lay their lives on the line for us, and we need to pray that God protects them. Psalm 41:2 – “The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, and he shall be called blessed upon the earth; and do not give him over to the desires of his enemies.”

Korben Marrow - sick again Submitted by: Heather Lay
{From mom, Rachel} We've been readmitted into Children's. Everything is fine. Hes' been running a temp & vomiting. It got up to 101 so they direct admit. We'll be in anywhere between 2-10 days.
[3 hours later] Korben's fever is at 105.
[2 hours later] Okay. Finally can breath for a second. We've had a heck of a time in here already. His temperature has gone back down to 102-103, thank God. His blood pressure is down at 85/34. His heart rate is sitting between 170-200. He was packed with ice packs & cool rags with a fan blowing on him. He's finally allowed to have a small sheet on him. They are saying admitting for at least 10 days. :(

Korben Morrow Submitted by: Heather Lay
Alright, probably having a bit of Graft Vs. Host again. Korben has a rash all over his body, doesn't seem to be itchy and doesn't look particularly terrifying, its just something that has to be watched. They are getting ready to do a skin biopsy on the poor little guy. (Looks like I got back in the nick of time!) Anyways, his nutrition level isn't looking the best so.... They also ordered him protein mix so that we can put it in his drinks. {From my understanding, he should still be coming home in about a week.}

Korben Morrow Submitted by: Heather Lay
{from mom, Rachel} We're home! Well, actually we've been home since late last night. I haven't seen Korben this happy in a long time. I mean, he's always a pretty bright and sunny kiddo but the kid hasn't walked anywhere since we've been home. Just *ZOOM* over to the sprinkler, *ZOOM* over to the refrigerator. He runs in circles, he's got so much energy! All I can say is, "It's nice to have you back Korben. All of you this time." ~ August 28 at 10:12am

Korben Morrow - UPDATE from his Mom, Rachel Submitted by: Heather Lay
At 12:30, 8/6/10: He's IN surgery. Can't back out now! All we asked was to keep the purple trach cap. Korben was sad he wouldn't have it anymore. I'm considering finding a way to turn into jewelry...creepy, I know.
FINAL UPDATE!!: Surgery went magnificently. He was angry when he got out because he wanted chicken nuggets, which I made for him immediately. It turns out that they don't sew the tracheostomy shut, they just wait for it to heal naturally...6-8 months down the road. Bah humbug. NO MORE TRACH OR CENTRAL LINE! Thank you guys for being on your seats about this with me, couldn't have done it without my Peanut Gallery.
8/8/10: We are going home today. For good! ... We're home everyone! ... Great day. Best in a long time. We're finally done. Huzzah!

Rebecca - UPDATE Submitted by: Heather Lay
The pediatric neurosurgeon's office called ... Becca's brain lesion has not changed in the 5 months since her 1st MRI! Hallelujah!!! She will need another MRI in 6 months, & possibly another one 6 months after that. If there continues to be no change, the doctor will classify it as stable, unlikely to change. We'd just let them or her regular pediatrician know if she experienced any new symptoms.

Family in Crisis Submitted by: vickie palmer
Jinjer, my former daughter-in-law, in less than 72 hours after the divorce was final, introduced my granddaughter to another man, and had him in their home. We investigated this man and found out that he's a convicted felon, with numerous drug convictions and DWI's. This has devastated our entire family. Please pray that the Lord will convict Jinjer's heart of the life she's now living. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will never leave her and help her to think clearly. Now, she’s planning to marry this guy. This affects my granddaughter and that's our main concern. Please pray for my granddaughter’s protection.. Please pray that the other man John will leave Jinjer and my granddaughter. My son begged Jinjer for a chance but we know now that she had been cheating for months. Jinjer left Christmas day and filed for divorce the following Monday. This prayer request is URGENT and I respectfully ask you to pray indefinitely. Thank you.
